The Gathering is a limited-edition black-and-white fine art photograph of birch trees rising from dense woodland near Alexandria, Minnesota.

Made during an early morning walk, the photograph reveals itself slowly. Pale birch trunks emerge from a layered tangle of branches, leaves, and shadow, creating a composition that changes the longer you remain with it. What first appears dense and almost chaotic gradually settles into rhythm, depth, and order.

This is a photograph that depends on scale. Its subtle detail and overlapping forms are meant to be experienced as a physical print, where the eye has time to wander through the scene rather than pass over it quickly.

The Gathering is ultimately a photograph about attention: about slowing down long enough to notice what might otherwise be overlooked.

Each print is part of a limited edition of 30, individually signed and numbered by John Magnoski, and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.

Limited Editions are offered unframed. If you would like the print framed, Museum Framing is available by request: a made-to-order frame in Black, White, Natural or Walnut, glazed with Tru Vue Optium Museum Acrylic®. It is priced by size and finish. For the largest sizes, or anything non-standard, use Explore Custom Framing and I will plan the frame with you.

Glazing
Tru Vue Optium Museum Acrylic® is anti-reflective, anti-static and shatter-resistant, and blocks up to 99% of UV light.

Print sizes indicate the total paper dimensions, including a generous white border around the photograph.

I offer the sizes shown to preserve composition and edition integrity. Custom sizes are available by inquiry; they are printed within the same edition and count toward its total.

Shipping
Complimentary standard shipping within the contiguous United States and Washington, DC, framed or unframed. The largest framed sizes ship by freight and are quoted individually. For Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, military (APO/FPO/DPO) or international destinations, please contact the studio before ordering.

Made to order
Each print is made, inspected, signed and numbered before it ships. Please allow up to 3 weeks. Unframed prints are carefully packaged according to their size and materials. Larger prints may be shipped rolled in protective packaging. You will receive an email with a tracking number once it is on its way.

Caring for an unframed print
Handle the print by its edges, ideally with clean, dry hands or cotton gloves, and keep it in its protective packaging until framing. Store it flat, or as shipped, in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. When framing, use acid-free, archival materials and UV-protective glazing.

Returns
Standard unframed Open Edition and Limited Edition prints may be returned within 14 days of delivery. For a change-of-mind return, return shipping is paid by the customer; there is no restocking fee. Framed, custom-sized and commissioned pieces are final sale, except for damage, defects or a fulfillment error, and subject to applicable law.

Damaged, defective or incorrect orders
Please inspect your artwork on arrival. If anything is damaged, defective or incorrect, contact me within 14 days of delivery with photographs of the packaging and artwork, and I will arrange a replacement or refund. I typically respond within two business days.
